Richard Kang, MD
Dr. Kang completed his anesthesiology residency at Columbia-St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, where he trained extensively in nerve blocks and neuraxial anesthetic techniques. He continued to sub-specialize in Interventional Pain Management at St. Luke's-Roosevelt, where he gained expertise in managing a variety of chronic pain conditions. He has served as Associate Director of Pain Management at Staten Island University Hospital and spent several years in private practice in the NY/NJ metropolitan area prior to joining AIPM. Dr. Kang uses a combination of conservative therapy with interventional pain techniques to treat chronic pain syndromes while minimizing reliance on potentially addictive medications. Each patient's treatment is individualized to their needs, and he is dedicated to providing excellent care. Dr. Kang is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management, and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
